Invitation to Worship

At FUMCD, our primary reason for gathering is to worship God. Worship is at the heart of all we do. Join us for worship and stand by those who have knelt with us at Holy Communion, participated with us in baptisms, joined with us in congregational prayer, and sung with us the great hymns of the church. We are led by wonderful pastors who are Biblically centered, seeking to inspire, uplift, inform, and challenge and by beautiful music, including offerings by adult choirs, instrumental ensembles, and music by children's choirs, youth choirs, handbell choirs, and occasional orchestral accompaniments. You will always feel at home at FUMCD. Please come join us.

Services

Sunday

The Connexion

8:30 a.m. Chapel

Dr. Jim Bowden: Preacher

Traditional style “Old Favorite” Hymns
Communion served weekly

Methodists belong to local churches or ecumenical partnerships,
but also feel part of a larger connected community,
This sense of being connected makes a difference to how
the Methodist Church as a whole is structured. At its
heart is an understanding of the Christian community as
the 'body of Christ'. Just as a human body contains different
limbs and organs that depend on each other, so we
should be close and caring enough to feel each other's
pain and delight. We should put the good of the whole body
before our own individual needs.

Crossroads Contemporary Service

Rev Marie Mitchell: Preacher

This service offers the warmth and upbeat feel of a postmodern style worship experience.  The contemporary music is led by Jarrod Johnston, Director of Music and the Crossroads Praise team. Various ensembles and a musical offering are presented weekly by the FUMC Youth Choir.  The message presented by Rev Marie Mitchell teaches and inspires us and touches the hearts of both young and old.  Communion is served the first Sunday of every month and a nursery is always provided.
